Schedule
Employment Days: 190 per year. Exact daily hours will be determined by the supervisor.
Pay
Salary Rate: $26,280 – $41,691.

- Copy of official transcripts verifying an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited college, or a minimum of 60 credit hours from an accredited college (original official transcripts must be provided at new‑hire orientation)
- Copy of qualifying Praxis Paraprofessional test scores of 456 or higher, or a plan to take the exam (information at Berkeley SchoolWires)
- Negative TB test results less than 1 year old (upload results; if not yet completed, upload a document acknowledging pending results)
Paraprofessional Praxis exams are offered through Berkeley County School District and Dorchester District 2. A registration fee of $75 must be submitted at the time the test is administered.
All required documents must be scanned and uploaded in APPLITRACK; paper submissions are not accepted. Incomplete applications will not be reviewed.
Applicants will be contacted by the school/location they applied to within three weeks if selected for an interview. Do not call the district regarding interview status. Depending on application volume, not all applicants may be interviewed, and candidates may be considered for multiple vacancies.
