i3 Academy Senior Reading Fellow Full-Time Position 9-month Contract (190 days) | Teacher Salary Schedule Location: i3 Academy Elementary School Contract Status: Non-Renewable for the 20252026 School Year Position Summary: Coordinate the work of creating a literacy plan that aligns with the Alabama Literacy Act, provide ongoing literacy invention, and provide coaching and support to assigned teachers Candidate Qualifications Teacher Certification RequiredCertified Academic Language Certification Highly PreferredExperience in teaching elementary or early childhood education Job Function And Responsibilities Serve as a Literacy Leader for assigned grade level(s) and teachersBe a continual learner in the area of literacyRemain current regarding any resources, procedures, and updates surrounding the Alabama Literacy Act, and particularly regarding the required portfolioProvide ongoing coaching and support of assigned grade level teachersAssist with the coordination and implementation of screeners, diagnostics, benchmarks, training, point person for the organizational implementationIdentify training needs and provide the resources and training needed for a successful collaboration with teachers and effective strategies with students.Create clear and concise communication to that may be utilized by the Grade Level Team and parents about the literacy planDevelop good working relationships with teachers to facilitate being a resource Work with teachers to identify and address the needs of students based on data from assessmentsDemonstrate an understanding of the science of reading and evidence-based best practicesDemonstrate an understanding of Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 instruction as well as the Professional Learning Community (PLC) processHave familiarity with coaching and co-teaching modelsObserve and model in classrooms to provide feedback to fellows and the teachers the fellows support Key Skills Work cooperatively with othersWork effectively under the direction of othersProvide leadership and support to Reading Fellows
