Responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to students
- Develop and implement school-wide programs to promote student social and emotional development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student needs
- Assess student needs and develop intervention plans
- Participate in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in school counseling
Requirements
- Masters degree in School Counseling or closely related field
- Valid Florida School Counseling Certification
- Experience working with adolescents preferred
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of people
- Knowledge of child development and mental health issues
Skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
