[2026-2027] Part Time Secondary Building Aide

About the role

As a dedicated High School Building Aide, your primary responsibility is to support the efficient operation of the school by assisting with arrival, dismissal, lunch and various student culture and operational tasks. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of students while maintaining a conducive learning environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage the flow of students during arrival, dismissal and lunch times, ensuring orderly transitions.
• Aid with traffic control and pedestrian safety around the school premises.
• Maintain discipline and safety by monitoring student behavior and intervening as necessary.
• Help set up and organize materials and equipment for school activities, events, and assemblies.
• Aid in the distribution and collection of educational materials and supplies.
• Perform routine tasks such as photocopying, filing, and inventory management to support administrative functions.
• Provide support and guidance to students as they navigate the school environment.
• Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere by promoting respect and cooperation among students.
• Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and protocols, including fire drills and lockdowns.
• Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations, following established protocols and guidelines.

Qualifications

• Complete all required criminal and child abuse background checks:
• Pennsylvania State Police Clearance
• Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
• Cogent Federal Fingerprinting

Benefits

The salary range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00 per hour, commensurate upon experience, typically work (20) hours/week.
