About the role

The Special Education Generalist Self-Contained position at THE TRANSFORMATION NETWORK is responsible for providing instruction to students with special needs in a self-contained classroom setting. The role requires a deep understanding of educational strategies and resources to support diverse learning needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students based on their unique needs.
• Collaborate with other educators, parents, and specialists to design and deliver effective educational programs.
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Participate in professional development activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.

Requirements

• A bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• A valid teaching license in Special Education.
• At least two years of relevant teaching experience.
• Experience working with students with emotional and behavioral disorders.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Knowledge of current special education laws and regulations.

Skills

• Proficiency in using assistive technology and adaptive equipment.
• Experience with data collection and analysis tools.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $60,000 annually.
