Position Information

The Food Service Worker position performs a variety of functions related to the breakfast and/or lunch meal services in Edmonds School District Kitchens. This position sets up, serves and cleans up after school meals. This position also maintains records for the school kitchen including temperature logs, food production records and student meal accounts.

Shift Details

Shift Details: 2 hours a day; hours and locations vary depending on need. Continuing & Non-Continuing Positions: This is a pool posting for numerous open positions. The status, work locations, work hours, and work schedules will be determined by the specific vacancy the applicant accepts.

Pay

Hourly Rate: $24.76 - $26.06 per hour (2025-2026 Food Service Salary Schedule) [Effective Sept. 1, 2026: $25.46 - $27.56 per hour]

Qualifications

  • Special Licenses/Requirements: Food Handlers Permit
  • National School Lunch Programs are federally funded and require food service workers to attend annual paid training (provided by the school district).
  • Certification through the school nutrition association is optional to receive annual stipend per CBA.
