Location: Frank J. Garside Middle School, Las Vegas

About the role

This is a full-time, day position for a Middle School English Teacher (Title I) at Frank J. Garside Middle School, serving the 2026–2027 school year.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging English language arts instruction aligned with Nevada Academic Content Standards.
• Assess student learning through formative and summative evaluations; use data to adjust instruction and support student growth.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students, including English language learners and students with special needs.
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment that fosters respect, responsibility, and academic excellence.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and support staff to support student achievement and well-being.
• Integrate technology effectively into instruction to enhance learning outcomes.
• Participate in professional development, team meetings, and school-wide initiatives.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the school administration.

Requirements

• Valid Nevada teaching license with an endorsement in Secondary English (grades 7–12) or ability to obtain one.
• Demonstrated knowledge of English language arts content, pedagogy, and assessment strategies.
• Experience working with middle school students in a diverse, urban setting preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and classroom management skills.
• Commitment to equity, cultural responsiveness, and continuous improvement.
