Location: Irmo High School

Schedule: 240 days per year, 8 hours per day

About the Role

This position is responsible for assisting the principal, teachers, and other instructional staff in coordinating and improving the instructional program of assigned grade level(s) to the benefit of every student. Assists with daily school administrative functions including enforcement of student discipline policies and procedures, supervision and coordination of the work of assigned personnel, and ensuring adherence to school and district policies, regulations, and goals. This position is under occasional supervision.

Requirements

• Hold, or be eligible to obtain, a valid South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) Principal or Supervisor Certification in one of the following areas:
  • School Principal (Tier I or Tier II)
  • Secondary Principal (Tier I or Tier II)
  • Secondary Principal
  • Secondary Supervisor
• At least three years of teaching and/or administrative experience
• May require a valid state driver's license
