About the role

The Department of Earth Sciences at SUNY Brockport is seeking applicants for anticipated part‑time adjunct faculty positions. The role involves teaching geology courses, engaging in experiential and hands‑on education, producing effective course materials, achieving student learning outcomes, and holding open office hours for students.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned geology courses in the Department of Earth Sciences.

Requirements

• Minimum: Master’s degree in earth sciences or a closely related field by the time of appointment from an accredited U.S. or internationally recognized institution, or equivalent professional experience.
• Preferred: Doctorate in earth sciences; significant teaching experience.

Pay

$5,500 stipend per 3‑credit course or equivalent; may be benefits eligible.
