About the role

The Poway Unified School District is seeking applications to fill a 50% vacant teaching position at Del Norte High School for Trimesters 2 and 3, starting November 9, 2026. Candidates must possess both required teaching credentials.

Requirements

• Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential – Biology or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching biology.
• Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential – Chemistry or other valid California teaching credential authorizing teaching chemistry.
• English Language Learners (CLAD) credential.
• Copy of biology teaching credential.
• Copy of chemistry teaching credential.
• Official transcripts (required upon hiring).
• Current resume.
• Letter of introduction addressed to Colin Young, Director of Human Resources.
• Three (3) letters of reference, signed/dated within the past 12 months (at least one from a supervising or site administrator encouraged; if never held a full‑time position, a letter from the site administrator where student teaching was completed).
• For phone references, include the reference’s current cell phone number and email address.
• All applications must be submitted through EDJOIN; hard copy documents will not be accepted.

Schedule
