Responsibilities
- Develops and administers school curriculum consistent with district goals and objectives.
- Promotes a safe and conducive learning environment for individualized and small group instruction.
- Conducts ongoing assessment of student learning and modifies instructional methods as needed.
- Instructs students in principles of responsible citizenship and other subject matters as specified.
- Encourages family involvement in education and ensures effective communication with students and caregivers.
- Safeguards student conduct and behavior to achieve a functional learning atmosphere.
- Selects and requisitions appropriate books, instructional aids, and equipment.
- Supervises students during school activities and coordinates with other professionals for curriculum evaluation.
- Administers standardized tests as part of the district's testing program.
Qualifications
- NYS Certification in Science - Biology.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline.
- Master's degree in related area preferred.
- Experience working with a diverse student population desired.

$44,500 (negotiable based on experience).
