About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to support large, long-term projects on Theme Parks in the Orlando area. Multiple positions are available. Sunbelt Rentals—the fastest growing rental business in North America—is seeking a Lead Scaffold Erector to design and erect various types of scaffolds. The Lead Scaffold Erector will act as a mentor and coach to Scaffold Erectors to aid in their development and must work with tools.

Responsibilities

• Safely and effectively manage a small crew to erect and dismantle various types of scaffolding under the supervision of a Foreman on site.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA rules and regulations regarding scaffolding.
• Maintain a good knowledge and understanding of scaffolding materials to prevent exceeding intended loads.
• Use various types of scaffolding materials.
• Perform physical tasks including bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 40 pounds or more.
• Work indoors and outdoors as required by the job.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Scaffold Erector or approved equivalent.
• Ability to work comfortably and safely at considerable heights.
• Trade school experience preferred but not required.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Skills

• Strong understanding of OSHA scaffolding regulations.
• Knowledge of various scaffolding materials and load capacities.
• Ability to mentor and coach Scaffold Erectors.
• Experience working with tools.

Pay

Base pay range: $18.99 - $23.74 per hour. Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
