200421 -- Project Control Spec B

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Control Specialist B to support major initiatives at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) corporate office in Chattanooga, TN. This is an 11-month contract position starting in October 2026, with a pay rate of up to $56.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Monitor progress, KPIs, and cost/schedule trends against baselines to recommend performance improvements.
• Prepare financial reports, risk assessments, monthly forecasting, accruals, and journal vouchers.
• Assist with project initiation, funding requests, change requests, business planning budgets, and closeouts.
• Coordinate with engineering, plant operations, and contractors while utilizing advanced project management tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Project Management, Accounting, Economics, or a related field + 3+ years of related experience (OR Associate’s degree + 3 years, OR High School Diploma/GED + 5 years minimum experience).
• Proficiency in project control concepts, cost engineering, risk management, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Experience with Primavera (P6), Maximo, PowerPlan, C-55, and SharePoint is heavily preferred.
• Project Management Institute (PMI) or AACE certification is a strong plus.
• Ability to obtain/maintain unescorted plant access and medical qualifications; willingness to travel to field locations or support on-call/overtime rotation during peak periods as required.
