Town Pump is seeking a motivated and outgoing Store Clerk to join their growing team. Opportunities for career growth are abundant.
Responsibilities
- Excellent customer service
- Cash handling and accounting
- Stocking, pricing, rotating, and displaying merchandise
- Housekeeping inside and outside the store
- Store safety and security
- Deli food sales and cooking
- Operating computerized cash register
- Giving correct change, scanning credit cards, accepting and processing checks, and bagging merchandise
- Remembering and addressing regular customers' names and needs
- Answering and screening phone calls
- Policing the store, detecting shoplifters, and handling customer complaints
- Stocking shelves and coolers
- Completing shift work, cleaning, and maintaining all areas of the store
- Completing vendor check-in procedures, protocol system, and “drive off” controls
- Advising the store manager of any issues affecting store performance
- Sweeping the lot, shoveling snow, cleaning gas pumps, filling water/cleaning solution buckets on islands, and completing other duties assigned by management
- Performing deli duties in smaller locations as outlined in the deli job description
