About the role

You will work at a company that manufactures crankshafts, the main component of engines, performing inspection tasks.

Responsibilities

• Pre-shipment inspection
  • Visually check for scratches on crankshafts.
  • Use a cross (fiber cloth) to wipe and inspect surfaces.
  • Inspect a 10-meter crankshaft in approximately 2 hours, with each team member responsible for specific sections (front, rear, middle, back).
  • Clean any dirt found during inspection.
  • Mark deep scratches and request repairs from another department.
• Centering work
  • Use a micrometer (measuring instrument) to determine the center of the crankshaft.
  • Work with a team of 3 to 4 staff members to ensure the center of gravity is stable, critical for preventing ships (e.g., tankers) from capsizing.
  • Carefully measure and mark the center line, as even slight misalignment can disrupt balance.
  • Handle 3 to 5 units per day, collaborating as a team to produce each product, offering a sense of accomplishment.
• Product inspection
  • Unpack products ordered from suppliers and inspect them based on specifications.
  • Follow the process: unpacking → inspection → inputting results into a check sheet → repacking.
  • Perform magnetic particle inspection by applying iron powder and using magnetism to detect defects (iron powder clings to damaged areas).

Heatstroke prevention measures are in place, including spot coolers installed throughout the workspace during summer.

Requirements

• Experience in manufacturing is required.
• Remote interviews are available, and resumes are not required.
• Experience in non-destructive testing (MT, UT, PT) is highly welcome.
