About The Role
In this opportunity as a #2 Operator in Prepress, you will:
- Reviewing job specifications for material and set-up requirements
- Performing or delegating set-up tasks
- Monitoring the equipment and product through the job run to ensure a high-quality product
- Performing moderately complex trouble-shooting related to product or equipment
- Communicating effectively during shift and at shift hand-off
- Evaluating mechanical condition of equipment, completing preventive maintenance; involving Maintenance as needed
- Using computer-based workflow applications to manage files
- Work results are not typically checked by others
Requirements
- Possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher. Candidates with a vocational/technical degree are strongly preferred
- Ability to read, interpret and explain documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and production orders
- Experience with Lean and continuous improvement
- Good communication skills including experience sharing information across shifts and departments
- Proven success as a trainer
- Competence with rulers and measurement
- Can regularly lift at least 5 lbs. above the shoulder as well as push, pull, and lift at least 10 lbs occasionally up to 50 lbs
- Regularly standing walking, crouching, bending, reaching, and kneeling
Pay
2nd shift differential of $4.00 per hour, 3rd shift differential of $5.00 per hour, and a bonus plan. The base compensation hourly range for this role is $21 USD - $39 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
Schedule
2nd shift – 2:30p - 10:30p. Occasional overtime up to 4 hours per day and occasional weekend shifts.
