2:1 Facilitator (BILINGUAL SPED) (REPOST)

Responsibilities

• Affords the assigned student with self-help and self-care skills.
• Performs simple errands and tasks for the student.
• Accompanies the student to the office or to other areas of the building.
• Establishes a positive relationship with the student.
• Serves as a resource person to the student personnel evaluation team.
• Participates in professional development.
• Facilitates the integration of the special education student into the regular classroom.
• Serves as a liaison with other staff members.
• Maintains appropriate boundaries for the student.
• Helps the student develop personal and interpersonal skills.
• Assists in maintaining a positive classroom environment.
• Shows genuine concern and respect for the student(s).
• Supervises the arrival and dismissal of students.
• Cleans and sanitizes materials/equipment as required.
• Assists other students in the classroom when necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Diabetic Care Trained (preferred or willing to be trained).

Benefits

• Salary range: $16.34 per hour, plus an additional $5 per hour.
