Job Summary
This position is responsible for weighing, mixing and filling molds with raw materials per specification to produce into tile form. This position will also check finished product for defects and gauge product for correct thickness and measurements. Additional responsibilities will include: cross-training into other job functions to assist with production, assistance with creating SOP and other production related documentation, prepping molds for various jobs, inventory data entry, routine participation in safety meetings and performing basic preventative maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate press and mixing equipment to produce tile products according to production specifications.
- Measure, weigh, mix, and load raw materials into molds following established formulas and procedures.
- Inspect finished products for defects, proper thickness, size, and overall quality.
- Prepare molds, trim finished products, and stack and label pallets for inventory and shipment.
- Perform routine equipment inspections, basic preventive maintenance, and report maintenance concerns.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while following safety and quality standards.
- Enter production data and assist with inventory tracking and documentation.
- Cross-train and support other production functions as needed.
Qualifications
- A High School Diploma/GED or equivalent manufacturing experience.
- Previous manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
- Ability to read measurements and perform basic math calculations.
- Basic computer and data entry skills; ERP experience is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Physical & Work Environment
- Manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, temperature variations, chemicals, and industrial equipment.
- Requires standing, walking, bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling throughout the shift.
- Able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and perform repetitive physical tasks.
- Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toe/composite footwear.
