The Work Order Associate is responsible for creating, tracking, and managing work orders to support efficient operations within a manufacturing environment. This role ensures that all work orders are accurately entered into the system, assigned appropriately, and closed out in a timely manner. The Work Order Associate works closely with production, maintenance, inventory, and planning teams to maintain accurate documentation and support workflow coordination.
Responsibilities
- Release work orders from Microsoft Excel schedule.
- Check inventory levels for work orders. If materials are unavailable, notify the scheduler.
- Create a manual folder with work instructions and printed drawings.
- Work with engineers for all ESR (Engineer Sample Request) requirements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic computer navigation and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems.
- High attention to detail and self-motivation.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand, walk, push, bend, and/or squat for 10+ hours in a day.
- Must be able to lift up to 25-50 lbs at a time.
- Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to work in a manufacturing facility environment.
