1st shift Utility Operator
About the role
Miscellaneous labor associates perform assigned duties to help meet operational requirements. They report to the production supervisor for the shift to which they are assigned and follow the direction of the equipment operator when assigned to a machine crew.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules and practices
- Read factory work orders, print cards, and other documents to learn customer requirements
- Identify stock and products that correspond to work orders
- Perform assigned duties to ensure production needs are met
- Assist other associates as needed
- Accurately use tape measures and other measurement and test equipment
- Inspect, count, stack, and unitize products according to customer specifications
- Identify and segregate nonconforming (reject) products and materials
- Accurately complete time sheets, reports, lists, and other records
- Keep the supervisor informed of any problems and/or unusual situations
- Maintain work areas to plant standards of housekeeping
- Maintain teamwork with machine crews and other associates
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
Qualifications
- The ability to perform the duties / responsibilities of the job with or without accommodation

- The ability to accurately read a measuring tape and ruler
- The ability to use basic shop math
- The ability to learn
- The ability to follow instructions, ask questions, and work effectively as a member of a team
