About the role

Perform daily cleaning and sanitization tasks, which may include cleaning of equipment, parts, floors, walls, and surfaces of equipment. Also, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas and facility.

Responsibilities

  • Empty and clean trash and recycling bins regularly, ensuring proper disposal and adherence to waste management guidelines.
  • Clean and disinfect restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, to maintain a sterile environment.
  • Clean glass surfaces and mirrors using appropriate cleaning agents and tools.
  • Ensure adequate cleaning supplies are in stock and in good working condition; report any shortages or damages to shift supervisor or management.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the supervisor on shift or member of management to ensure a safe and functional work environment.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety protocols.
  • Aid and support other staff members or departments when necessary, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Perform other related duties as requested by shift supervisor or member of management.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge or previous experience in sanitation, occupational health & safety, and chemical material handling is a plus.
  • Ability to stand for 8–12-hour shifts and lift/carry up to 50–55 lbs.
  • Ability to follow precise instructions and monitor multiple variables simultaneously.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues, supervisor, and management.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong time management skills to meet deadlines and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred.
  • Comply with all company safety rules and OSHA regulations.
