About the role

The Range Operator is responsible for the overall performance of the finishing range. They oversee quality, process, and cost standards, follow procedures, maintain records, and provide feedback on fabric quality.

Responsibilities

  • Observe fabric processing for defects and finishing issues, alerting management or QA with decisions on the roll.
  • Work with QA technicians and management to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Input style and finish information into the machine computer and check settings.
  • Provide feedback on fabric quality.
  • Complete paperwork and record keeping, keying data into the EVS unit and printing maps.
  • Assist with EVS and broken filament detector inputting information and printing maps.
  • Splice and set up the machine for quality and efficiency.
  • Perform distortion measurements and wrap rolls according to customer specifications.
  • Cut samples, complete splice check samples, and tag fabric for lab testing.
  • Clean at finishing changes.
  • Maintain all records according to ISO standards.

Requirements

  • Read, understand, and follow written instructions.
  • Write basic math.
  • Have computer skills, including calculator usage.
  • Have good vision.
  • Be able to lift moderate to heavy loads.
  • Not be afraid of heights.
  • Be able to stand and walk for long periods.
  • Work independently.
  • Communicate instructions to associates.
  • Pass fork lift written test, obstacle course, and evaluation.
  • Pass low lift truck written test and evaluation.
  • Follow instructions for the job being performed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards.

Negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
