Responsibilities

  • Compliance with all quality system procedures and company safety requirements
  • Advocating quality principles and practices
  • Good housekeeping
  • Assist in identifying and qualifying new inspection equipment
  • Programming all inspection equipment
  • Develop training materials and train on use of inspection equipment
  • Provide support and troubleshoot measurement equipment as needed
  • Work with the Material Review Board to resolve quality issues
  • Support the development of inspection plans and various quality documents
  • Review and verify supplier submitted First Article parts and reports
  • Perform receiving, in-process, and final inspections to support production
  • Train and mentor employees as needed

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in the inspection field or manufacturing using standard inspection equipment and prints to determine conformance to requirements
  • ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or equivalent experience preferred

Qualifications

  • Thorough understanding of GD & T, including formal training
  • Understand the use and limitations of standard inspection, measuring, and test equipment
  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills, preferably experience with Microsoft suite
  • Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time (8-10 hours or more), frequent bending and twisting
  • Vision correctable to 20/20
  • Ability to distinguish color
  • Sufficient gage knowledge to support calibration, create quality documentation, and support gage studies
