1st Shift Production Supervisor

About the role

As a 1st Shift Production Supervisor at Progressive Surface, you will oversee manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety.

Responsibilities

• Manage a team of production workers and coordinate production schedules to meet customer demands and organizational goals.
• Commissions and stages material for production.
• Verifies all production machine setups and work instructions are followed.
• Maintain safe and organized operations.
• Works closely with all aspects of manufacturing, ensuring support of meeting labor standards, quality standards, and adherence to manufacturing specifications.
• Directs and coordinates maintenance activities.
• Supports a culture of Lean continuous improvement, seeking to minimize waste.
• Aids in performance evaluations, training/coaching, tracking attendance, and administering company policies.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate positive, professional behavior at all times.
• Ability to work within a team environment required.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to use computer and scanning equipment.
• Manufacturing procedure background.
• Ability to read and understand work instructions and quality procedures and other instructional material printed in English preferred.
• Ability to support culture change through support of lean manufacturing principles.
