Responsibilities
- Operates industrial trucks including sit-down/stand-up and reach forklifts to move outgoing orders.
- Moves materials to and from shipping/distribution areas and loading/receiving docks as required.
- Follow safe driving practices while operating material handling equipment.
- Loads and unloads materials from trucks efficiently and securely.
- Works closely with other departments, such as shipping, receiving and inventory to coordinate outbound shipments based on business needs.
- Assist team members in high volume situations to ensure efficient loading and dock operations.
- Oversees that completed orders are properly prepared, secured and labeled according to customer requirements and shipping regulations.
- Inspects and reports any damage or non-compliant packaging to the Outbound Lead before loading.
Qualifications
- Organizes and stages outgoing shipments efficiently based on priority and scheduled pick-up times.
- Maintains a well-organized loading dock to ensure a smooth workflow and prevent congestion.
- Pass required exam of basic math and English.
- Ability to prioritize and distribute work out accordingly.
- Communication skills a must. Both through email and face to face.
Pay
A reasonable estimate of the hourly rate for this role is $21.00 – $24.00 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. This role is bonus/and or incentive eligible.
