1st Shift Material Handler - Optical

About the role

ASML US brings together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. This opportunity is for a Material Handler to join the logistics team, working 1st shift hours.

Responsibilities

• Clean and package material per specification for safe shipment.
• Monitor for and report damaged or defective materials (or questionable) to department Supervisor.
• Participate in area Job Hazard Analysis.
• Make pick up and deliveries within the ASML campus.
• Perform data entry and maintain record retention.
• Maintain the work area and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and make recommendations for improvement.
• Operate company equipment such as hand trucks, hoists, trolleys, and fork trucks.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Material Handling.
• General computer proficiencies; SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word a plus.
• At least 4 months of previous experience as a Material Handler at ASML.

Office Responsibilities

• Routinely required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
• Occasionally required to move around the campus.
• Occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• May require travel dependent on business needs.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Factory Responsibilities

• Must be willing to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing coveralls, hoods, booties, safety glasses, and gloves for the entire duration of the shift.
• While performing duties, the employee routinely is required to sit; walk; talk; hear; use hands to keyboard, finger, handle, and feel; stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, reach, and stretch.
• The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• Must be willing to work 2nd shift hours from Tuesday through Saturday and be flexible to convert to a compressed work week schedule—twelve-hour long shifts, rotating from three to four days a week.
• Potential for exposure to strong magnetic fields, high voltage, and currents.
• This position requires access to controlled technology as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations. Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work.

Additional Responsibilities (Wilton Factory)

• The employee is required to work in a cleanroom environment: full gowning (full body coveralls, hood, CR safety shoes, face mask, nitrile gloves, and safety glasses), working under ISO 9000/14000 standards.
• Operating/working around overhead cranes, fork trucks, and motorized pallet movers.
• Working around lasers; working with ladders; working on platforms; and working around chemicals.
• The employee is occasionally required to move around the campus.
• The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
• May require travel dependent on company needs.
• The environment generally is moderate in temperature and noise level.
