1st Shift Material Handler

About the role

Leggett & Platt has been the driving force in bedding components technology since inventing the bedspring in 1885, and now owns more mattress industry patents than anyone in the world. As a Material Handler, you will move and mark finished goods and scrap foam from various machinery and departments, supporting operations that design, produce, and supply innovative sleep solutions.

Responsibilities

• Assist various areas of operations with positioning foam onto pallets for production or shipping
• Move empty flats to end of conveyor lines
• Unload leftover foam blocks on conveyors
• Move finished and unfinished products as needed throughout operation
• Ensure all flats of material have tickets
• Use hand trucks, buggies, or other material handling equipment
• Assist in wrapping department as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High School diploma or GED equivalent required; or equivalent combination of education and experience
