1st Shift Maintenance Technician

About the role

The Prep Maintenance Technician / Operator (PMT/O) is responsible for the mechanical maintenance or repair of Warping, Twisting, and Slashing equipment. The PMT/O will operate and maintain Twisting frames and perform maintenance to ensure quality and efficiency of the machine. They will assess maintenance problems and attain necessary resources for effective repair of machinery and equipment, including being on call for emergency repairs.

PMT/Os will complete TPM assignments, maintain high grades/scores on all equipment, and assist in installing new equipment or upgrades. They will maintain records on repairs and follow all ISO standards as directed by management.

Responsibilities

• Patrol twister frames while carrying out twisting and plying procedures, placing specifications on twisting frames, and verifying product quality in case of machine failure.
• Inspect for defective bobbins and repack creel yarns into boxes using proper handling methods.
• Maintain cleanliness of machines and follow the weekly TPM cleaning audit schedule.
• Complete all paperwork and maintain records according to ISO standards.
• Work in Warping/Creeling as needed.
• Perform maintenance on the Delta 110 Draw-in machine when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
