About the Role

Perform various clerical duties to support Quality Control (QC) functions.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality, quantity, and weight of incoming material using various methods and equipment
• Log and document inspections as well as rejections
• Place rejected product into designated reject locations
• Follow through on rejections using main-frame computer
• Use radio frequency hand-held scanner
• Operate various QC measuring and testing devices
• Communicate via two-way radio
• Investigate quality issues throughout the warehouse
• Operate motorized industrial equipment
• Participate in department meetings and projects
• Operate within standard operating procedures
• Maintain neat, clean, and well-organized work area
• Ensure timely and regular attendance
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Cross-train to perform other functions within the quality department

Requirements

• Adhere to all safety standards and personal protective equipment (PPE) guidelines
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Capability to learn to operate and pass motorized industrial equipment tests to obtain a license
• Computer experience (a plus)
• Familiarity with company product lines (a plus)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

• Capability to lift 50 pounds
• Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, bend, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, talk, and hear
• Frequently required to reach, push, pull, and lift with hands and arms
