1st Shift Inedible Dock Worker

About the role

Brakebush Brothers is a family‑owned company that celebrated its 90th anniversary in 2015, providing high‑quality chicken products to restaurants, schools, healthcare facilities, convenience stores, and more. The 1st Shift Inedible/Recycle Dock Worker reports to the Shipping/Receiving Supervisor, works full‑time, and is classified as nonexempt. The position is located in Mocksville, NC.

Responsibilities

• Operate baler to bale cardboard; transport finished bales to trailer.
• Operate compactor and keep the surrounding area clean.
• Properly denature product on the dock.
• Keep hallways neat and clear of pallets.
• Keep the pallet storage room clean and organized.
• Store full inedible totes on the trailer.
• Ensure heating/cooling units are working properly.
• Fill, cover and move crumb totes to the trailer.
• Notify the supervisor when meat, breading, compactor, or skid trailer is ready for pick‑up.
• Foam dirty barrels and place them on the washer rinse or use a high‑pressure hose.
• Clean and foam the washroom, dock area, and overheads as needed.
• Handle various chemicals and operate sanitation equipment.
• Perform frequent lifting, bending, and twisting throughout the shift.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Will be cross‑trained on both the inedible and recycle docks.

Requirements

• Successful completion of a pre‑employment drug test and background check.
• Ability to lift, bend, and twist frequently.
• Availability to work overtime and Fridays as needed.

Pay

$21.56 per hour.

Schedule

6:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. (Monday–Thursday; schedule may vary). Availability to work overtime and Fridays.
