About the Role
McGill Environmental Systems is seeking a dependable 1st Shift General Laborer to support operations at our composting and organics recycling facility. If you enjoy hands-on work, take pride in maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and don't mind working outdoors, we want to hear from you.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on business needs. Shift schedules may be adjusted to meet operational demands and company business needs.

Responsibilities
- Keep grounds, ramps, screening areas, and shop facilities clean and organized
- Perform weed eating, shoveling, painting, and other grounds maintenance tasks
- Clean and prepare processing bays and production areas
- Assist with equipment cleaning and routine maintenance activities 0
- Support maintenance technicians with repair and upkeep projects
- Organize tools, parts, and supplies
- Follow all safety procedures, environmental regulations, and standard operating procedures
- Maintain accountability for company-issued tools and equipment
- Perform housekeeping duties throughout the facility
- Complete other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Valid Driver's License required
- Previous experience in one or more of the following environments preferred:
- Manufacturing
- Industrial Facilities
- Construction
- Landscaping
- Agriculture
- Recycling Operations
- General Labor Environments
- Ability to work safely in a production environment
- Comfortable performing physically demanding work in an outdoor industrial environment
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
- Ability to work around dust, dirt, mud, noise, and odors
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendance
Pre-Employment Requirements
