About the Role
Quad is seeking Forklift Operators to join our Hartford manufacturing team. This isn't a traditional warehouse role. You'll work directly with production teams, moving paper, materials, and finished products throughout one of Quad's largest manufacturing facilities and helping ensure our printing equipment has what it needs to keep customer orders on schedule.
What You'll Do
- Operate forklifts and other powered material-handling equipment.
- Supply printing and finishing equipment with paper and production materials.
- Transport raw materials and finished products throughout the facility.
- Load and unload trailers safely and efficiently.
- Maintain inventory using RF scanners and computerized systems.
- Perform routine equipment inspections.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
What We're Looking For
- Previous forklift operating experience is strongly preferred.
- Manufacturing, warehouse, shipping, logistics, distribution, or material-handling experience.
- Experience loading and unloading trailers is preferred.
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn inventory systems.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to read and follow written and verbal work instructions.
Pay & Schedule
- Pay: $18.00–$20.00/hour, based on relevant experience and work history.
- Shift: Day Shift | 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
- Schedule: 12-hour compressed schedule (3/4 or 4/3 rotation). Work only 182 scheduled days per year while maintaining full-time status and benefits.
