1st Shift Fdry Coor/Relief Supervisor - Fischer Molding

Responsibilities

• Perform and direct all foundry processes in accordance with scheduled production requirements.
• Apply extensive knowledge of various foundry fundamentals to address general foundry process requirements.
• Operate and understand various types of tools and foundry equipment necessary for carrying out foundry process requirements.
• Carry out minor adjustments and repairs of foundry equipment and machinery.
• Communicate effectively to arrange for maintenance personnel to make necessary repairs when needed.
• Perform duties as scheduled per instructions from Foundry Manager/Superintendent/Supervisor.
• Demonstrate good judgment in all situations that may arise.
• Ensure all assignments are carried out in a safe and productive manner in accordance with established quality standards.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Physical Demands

• Stand or walk 100% of shift.
• Frequent bending, twisting, carrying, and lifting of up to 30 pounds unassisted during shift and hoist operation.
• Must be able to handle a fast-paced environment.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Work Environment

• Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, and extreme heat.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually very loud.
