1st Shift Facility General Maintenance Technician (El Paso → Midland)

Responsibilities

  • Perform general maintenance service/repairs of company facilities.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance needs and potential issues.
  • Maintain the property grounds both inside and outside.
  • Perform carpentry and snow removal when necessary.
  • Safely construct, install, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain equipment, machinery, structures within the facilities.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions.
  • Aid in the setup and breakdown of equipment for events and projects as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Basic understanding of maintenance procedures and safety practices.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and power tools used in maintenance tasks.
  • Strong mechanical abilities.
  • Knowledgeable in mechanical systems - concepts in repair, replace, install equipment and troubleshoot.
  • Basic knowledge plumbing, and HVAC systems.
  • Ability to use common maintenance tools and equipment.
  • Experience with maintenance management software.
  • Proficiency or ability to learn in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of related maintenance experience (3+ years preferred).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in maintenance or related role.
  • Tech, vocational, or on-the-job training in at least one of the following areas: maintenance, HVAC, electrical, mechanical, process controls, mechanical power transmissions, painting, plumbing, carpentry, or engine repair.
  • Experience with maintenance management software.
  • Proficiency or ability to learn in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.

  • Ability to work in various environments, including indoor and outdoor settings.

  • Ability to lift, push, and/or carry items up to 60 pounds as required.
  • Ability to work near moving mechanical parts and equipment.
  • Ability to work in and around tight or confined spaces.
  • Ability to climb ladders, working at heights, and operating heavy machinery.
  • Reading, identifying colors of labels or signage.
  • Ability to work in environments that may include exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and/or hazardous materials (e.g., carbon fiber).
