Role Overview
Endress+Hauser is seeking an Electromechanical Assembler to join the Temperature+ System Products team in Greenwood, Indiana. This role is part of a dynamic team dedicated to delivering world-class temperature products.
What You'll Do
- Assemble devices (mechanical and/or electronic) to form complete units or subassemblies at appropriate locations, including programming transmitters and using laser
- Perform visual inspection and functional testing during assembly operations
- Conduct calibration for devices as needed
- Maintain accurate inventory and notify supervisors of adjustments or scrap
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and tools required to accomplish daily tasks
- Participate and assist with cross-training employees on production processes where applicable
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area in conjunction with 5S Lean concepts
- Use SAP and ABAKUS software systems to look up or enter information
- Adhere to safety guidelines for the work area
- Determine the correct packaging for each device
- Pack devices ensuring no damage during shipment
- Perform all functions to ensure highest quality and value of delivery to the customer
What We Expect From You
- Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated
- Able to use hand tools, power tools and operate machines
- Able to follow written and verbal directions
- Can read and understand basic drawings, diagrams and production orders
- Must be flexible and willing to learn different positions
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and 1-2 years related fabrication experience or equivalent professional training
- Must be detail-oriented
