1st Shift Electromechanical Assembler(Temporary To Hire)

Role Overview

Essential Duties

• Assemble devices (mechanical and/or electronic) to form complete units or subassemblies at appropriate locations
• Perform visual inspection and functional testing during assembly operations
• Conduct calibration for devices as needed
• Maintain accurate inventory and notify supervisors of adjustments or scrap
• Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and tools required for daily tasks
• Participate and assist with cross-training employees on production processes
• Maintain a neat and orderly work area in accordance with 5S Lean concepts
• Use SAP and MIKE software systems to look up or enter information
• Adhere to safety guidelines for the work area
• Determine the correct packaging for each device
• Pack devices ensuring no damage during shipment
• Ensure highest quality and value of delivery to customers

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED
• 0-2 years related experience or equivalent training
• Ability to multi-task and be self-motivated
• Able to use hand tools, power tools, and operate machines
• Read and understand basic drawings, diagrams, and production orders
• Flexible and willing to learn different positions

Physical Demands

• Regularly stand and use hands to finger, handle, or feel
• Frequently reach with hands and arms
• Sometimes walk and sit
• Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 50 pounds
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
