About the role

Eaton’s GE IS division is seeking a 1st Shift Distribution Center Supervisor for its Roanoke, VA Assembly Operation and Distribution Center. The division is part of Eaton’s global electrical sector with more than 128 years of experience delivering efficiency, safety, and reliability.

Pay

The expected annual salary range for this role is $86,000 – $126,000. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, and market and business considerations.

Schedule

1st shift hours are 6 AM – 3:30 PM. Relocation is not provided; candidates must reside within 50 miles of Roanoke, VA (active‑duty military candidates are exempt).

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily distribution‑center floor operations, ensuring safety, accuracy, and productivity.
• Support the team by providing timely answers, directing to appropriate resources, and fostering a growth‑oriented workplace.
• Interview, select, and train new or transferred team members to meet role requirements.
• Manage time and attendance for the team.
• Offer counseling and coaching on performance and company policy.
• Participate as an active member of the site’s leadership team, supporting site initiatives and operational changes.
• Engage the team to identify process‑improvement opportunities and champion change.
• Track and create performance indicators to improve operations and customer service.
• Collaborate with hourly team members, support personnel, and external suppliers to meet daily shipment and receiving goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years of leadership experience.
• Must be currently residing within 50 miles of Roanoke, VA (exempt for active‑duty military).
• Eaton does not sponsor immigration or provide relocation for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Management or Supply Chain.
• Five years of leadership experience.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems and SAP.
• Previous warehouse/distribution center experience in order picking, shipping, or receiving.
• Lean or Six Sigma experience.
• Knowledge of operating power industrial trucks and their limitations.
