Distribution Center Operations Supervisor-1st shift

About the role

As the Distribution Center Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team of 25–45 colleagues at CVS Health’s state-of-the-art distribution facility. This includes planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising the daily activities of an assigned shift and functional area to achieve performance goals and metrics within the distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, train, schedule, and assign work to new hires
• Ensure employees have the necessary equipment, materials, and documents to complete tasks successfully
• Monitor and adjust resources to achieve daily production and delivery goals
• Balance workloads by taking readings throughout the day to meet projected completion times
• Monitor employee performance to ensure quality and quantity expectations are met or exceeded
• Conduct staff meetings and verify daily worksheets are completed accurately and submitted on time
• Provide ongoing training and retraining to meet or exceed productivity standards
• Use reports, summaries, and procedures to project workload and resolve daily issues
• Communicate effectively across all levels
• Analyze information to make sound business decisions
• Build high-performance teams while engaging and inspiring colleagues
• Assist with coordination of processes and assignments for the distribution area to ensure consistent work products
• Execute daily activities and operational plans to enhance a culture of excellence and innovation
• Manage day-to-day operations in a warehouse section to ensure daily targets are met or exceeded
• Conduct performance appraisals using reports and procedures to resolve problems and improve efficiency
• Analyze reports and recommend best practices to the operations manager
• Coordinate assignments to achieve balanced workloads and meet operational metrics
• Ensure on-time deliveries and customer service
• Define task terms and establish priorities to meet operational success
• Manage team performance through regular feedback and formal reviews to deliver exceptional service and engagement

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a distribution/manufacturing environment
• Verifiable high school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• Warehouse Management Systems experience
• MS Office experience
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees
• Ability to analyze information effectively and consistently
• Ability to complete assignments within established timelines
• Ability to complete work under general supervision
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience working in a union facility

Schedule

First shift hours of 5:00 am to 3:00 pm; possible shift coverage for a few weekends as needed.

Pay

The typical pay range for this role is $43,888.00 – $93,574.00. The actual base salary offer will depend on experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission, or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay.
