About the role
This is a straight first shift position — Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm — with no mandatory overtime. Voluntary overtime available if you want the extra money, weekdays and occasional Saturdays.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC and manual lathes, mills, and turning centers
- Produce precision pump components to close tolerances
- Work a variety of parts and setups — no two days exactly the same
- Read and interpret engineering prints including GD&T
- Use precision measurement instruments — micrometers, calipers, and gauges
- Perform equipment preventative maintenance
- Maintain quality and safety standards
- Work independently with minimal supervision
Requirements
- 3–5 years of machining experience
- Able to perform difficult setups and run machines independently
- Comfortable reading engineering prints with GD&T
- Skilled with precision measuring instruments
- High school diploma or equivalent required; trade or technical certification a plus
