1st Shift CNC Operator Trainee (Dept. 301)

About the role

Milwaukee Valve Company is seeking a 1st Shift CNC Operator Trainee or higher to join their team in Department 301 at their facility in Prairie Du Sac, WI. The starting hourly wage is $22.34, with a $1,000 sign-on bonus available. The first half of the bonus is paid after the orientation period, and the second half after one year of employment. Regular hours are from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with the possibility of overtime.

Responsibilities

• Learn the safe operation of CNC machines
• Obtain general knowledge and ability to read, comprehend, and interpret blueprint specifications
• Perform the inspection of machined parts using general measuring instruments
• Gain experience operating CNC machines without prior machining experience
• Use personal hand tools and measuring instruments after successful training
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates should have:

• A high school diploma or GED
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
• Ability to read and understand safety policies and operating instructions
• Good communication skills to follow instructions and communicate effectively
• Physical ability to stand, walk, use hands and arms, and lift up to 40 lbs. unassisted

Pay

Schedule

The regularly scheduled hours are 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturdays.
