1st Shift Cable Maker

Location: Wallingford, CT | Full-time, 1st shift | Hourly

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of cable manufacturing operations to construct cable following established methods, procedures, or instructions.
• Work from shop orders and other instructions to set up and operate simultaneously: taping equipment, respooling equipment, and braiding machines as directed.
• Make all necessary adjustments to obtain and maintain proper lay tension and other factors to assure compliance with finish specifications.
• Remain alert performing all needed adjustments to ensure all operations such as wrapping and braiding result in compliance with specifications.
• Perform other departmental operations as assigned.
• Detect and report defective material, faulty operation, and unusual conditions to proper supervision.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition.
• Follow environmental, health, and safety regulations.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to comprehend parts/operator manuals/instructions.
• Solid troubleshooting ability.

Pay

$23.99 per hour
