About the Role
Set up, operate efficiently, and maintain Sierra Bullets bullet presses.
Responsibilities
- Work safely at all times.
- Strictly adhere to all Company SOPs and policies.
- Operate assigned production area daily to established standards of quality and productivity.
- Resolve production problems in a timely manner in assigned production area while improving quality and productivity.
- Provide clear and consistent communication with the Bullet Lead and Production Supervisors regarding all activity and issues relating to the assigned production area.
- Accurately report all production-related information on a timely basis using computer or manual forms.
- Train new Bullet LTS as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Work closely with individuals at all levels of the company to continuously improve Quality, Cost, and Delivery.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Score of 17 or higher on the Sierra Bullets Mechanical Aptitude Test.
- Mechanical background.
- Manufacturing experience of some sort.
Skills
- Ability to work with and communicate well with others while displaying a positive attitude and work environment.
- Ability to use metrology equipment such as scales, calipers, and micrometers.
- Working knowledge of decimals, fractions, and basic mathematics.
- Mechanical ability to troubleshoot tooling and machinery.
- Ability to perform tool and machine part adjustments.
- Ability to perform close tolerance and detailed mechanical work.
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift 30 lbs.
- Able to stand, twist, stoop, kneel, and bend for long periods of time.
