About the role
The Holman Upfitting team in Huntington, IN is seeking a 1st Brake Press Operator to join our dynamic and growing team. This role involves operating an Amada brake press, changing tooling for each job, programming the machine, checking parts, and performing other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities
- Process material to blueprints provided
- Change out tooling for each job
- Program the machine for cut and bend length as required
- Check parts before moving to the next station to ensure proper dimensions
- Count all parts to ensure accuracy to production traveler packet
- Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
- Train on 1st shift (5:30/6:00 am – 6:00 pm) for 1 to 2 months before transitioning to 2nd shift
- Operate brake press and perform set up/operation
Requirements
- Willingness to train on 1st shift (5:30/6:00 am – 6:00 pm) for 1 to 2 months before transitioning to 2nd shift
- Brake press Set Up/Operation Experience required
- Amada press brake knowledge
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and part drawings
- Proficient with precision measuring tools, including calipers and the ability to read tape measures in hundredths
- Programming experience is a plus
- Familiarity with materials such as aluminum, stainless steel, and mild steel
- Strong math skills for measurements and quality checks
- Forklift operation is a plus
- Positive attitude and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail
Qualifications
- Must be willing to train on 1st shift (5:30/6:00 am – 6:00 pm) for 1 to 2 months before transitioning to 2nd shift
- Brake press Set Up/Operation Experience required
Skills

Pay
We offer competitive wages that are commensurate with job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and geographic location, starting in the range of $20.00 - $25.25 USD per hour.
Schedule
Shift: 6AM/6:30-6:00 PM Four 10-hour days with a 3-day weekend
