About the role

The Assembly Supervisor position is available at Legrand's Kenall Team in Kenosha, WI. Reporting to the Production Manager, this role oversees the Assembly Department to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise employees in the Assembly Department, including hourly, temporary, and seasonal workers.
  • Train employees on safe work practices and company policies.
  • Maintain and update employee records and handle disciplinary actions.
  • Assist with employee development through skill assessments and training.
  • Plan and assign work to laborers to maintain productivity.
  • Monitor material handling and storage procedures.
  • Manage tool inventory and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained and operating efficiently.
  • Maintain cleanliness and order in the Assembly Department.
  • Review and adjust production activities to meet customer requirements.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing.
  • Basic electrical wiring knowledge.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Customer service skills and professionalism.
  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and company-specific software.
  • Self-motivation and reliability.
  • Flexibility to work overtime and adjust schedules.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
