Position Overview

Directly supervises all employees assigned to the department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

  • Educational requirement: High school diploma or GED
  • Experience requirement: Five years manufacturing experience
  • Prior work experience in the corrugated industry is preferred

  • Able to read and interpret documents
  • Able to write routine reports and correspondence
  • Able to speak effectively before groups
  • Able to calculate figures and amounts
  • Able to apply concepts of high school math
  • Working knowledge of equipment design and capabilities
  • Working knowledge of cost issues
  • Working knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • May be required to maintain a current Lift Truck Operator License

Physical Demands

  • Regularly stand, walk, and talk or hear
  • Frequently use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds

  • Exposure to moving mechanical parts
  • Exposure to wet and/or humid conditions
  • Exposure to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; vibration
  • Noisy environment
