1st Shift Assembly - Laborer

About the role

Classification: Non-Exempt, Hourly. Reports to: 1st Manufacturing Manager. Date: 09/24/2026. Under the direction of the Team Lead, the incumbent is responsible for building windshields that are free from defect and adhere to expected quality specifications.

Responsibilities

• Runs power/air tools and utilizes drivers/mallets, on a precision basis for the purpose of building window systems.
• Maintains a clean work area.
• Identifies mechanical and/or quality problems to proper department.
• Performs all job functions adhering to established safety standards and always maintains safe practices.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Any combination of education is equivalent to a high school diploma.
• Ability to effectively read and communicate both orally and in writing.
• Knowledge of basic mathematics and capacity to accurately read measuring devices (i.e. tape measure, calipers, etc) and to ensure all parts conform to specifications.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading with ability to identify reference marks for purposes of maintaining accurate parts or modifying those that may not meet the specified standards.
• Knowledge of part numbers as detailed in blueprints.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds, twenty-five (25) to thirty (30) times per day.
• Ability to work with a variety of tools.

Schedule

Hours: Monday‑Thursday; 5:00 am‑3:00 pm. Work Authorization/Security Clearance: Must be able to pass E‑Verify.
