1st Semester Elementary Building Substitute Teacher at Bradford Woods Elementary

About the role
The 1st Semester Building Substitute Teacher will support the needs of Bradford Woods Elementary for the length of one semester (from the start of the 2026-2027 school year until January 11, 2027). This position may require occasional travel to assist at other elementary schools within the district.
Responsibilities
- Executing lesson plans
- Executing daily operations of the classroom
- Taking attendance for each class period
- Managing and maintaining proper student behavior
- Reporting all necessary information to the primary teacher
- Other duties as assigned by the building principal
Requirements
- A Pennsylvania Department of Education Instructional I or II Teaching Certificate (placeholder letters for pending certificates from a college/university are accepted until the Instructional I certificate is received to start the interview/paperwork process)
- A Pennsylvania Instructional I or II in Special Education is preferred
- Act 34 – PA Criminal History clearance
- Act 114 – FBI Fingerprinting clearance
- Act 126 – Mandated Reporter Training
- Act 151 – Child Abuse History clearance
- Act 168 – Sexual Misconduct and Disclosure Form
*If you have already obtained these clearances, they must be within one (1) year of the hire date.
Pay
- Days 1-30 (non-consecutive): $120.00/day (for the current school year)
- 31+ consecutive days: 85% of Step One (1) in the collective bargaining agreement
