1st or 2nd Shift VTL Machinist (up to $5,000 signing bonus!)

About the role

At A to Z Machine, an employee-owned company with nearly 30 years of precision machining excellence, we are seeking an experienced VTL Machinist to operate and program Toshiba Vertical Turning Lathes, set up complex jobs, ensure tight tolerances, read blueprints, troubleshoot machine performance, and collaborate in a team-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and program a Toshiba Vertical Turning Lathe (VTL) with precision and efficiency
• Set up complex jobs and ensure parts meet tight tolerances
• Read and interpret blueprints, job orders, and tooling instructions
• Troubleshoot and optimize machine performance
• Collaborate with a team that values your knowledge and input

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience running and setting up VTL machines
• Strong knowledge of G-code and CNC programming (GibbsCAM)
• Ability to work independently and solve complex machining challenges
• Commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement
