1st Class Pipefitter

About the role

CTR Group is seeking 1st Class Pipefitters for a Shipyard in the Pascagoula, MS area. Former or Recent Navy, especially Hull Technicians ideal.

Pay & benefits

• Pay Rate: $48 per Hour plus Benefits
• $180 Per Diem for Non-Local Candidates

Requirements

• Must demonstrate an acceptable proficiency and competency for an A-Class Pipefitters position.
• Must demonstrate ability to interpret and work from construction drawings, job specifications, instruction manuals, manufacturer's handbooks, change order, and contract specifications.
• Pass the "A" Class pipe fitters tests; written with a minimum score of 70% and practical with a minimum score of 90%.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and measure using the metric system.
• Must be able to follow directions and work with limited supervision.
• Must be willing to develop other team members skill levels.
• Must have working knowledge of procedures, strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to follow directions.
• Must possess experience in the trade, knowledge of ship terminology, ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Must demonstrate ability to interpret job specifications and perform work on marine vessels.
• Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
• Must be able to tour all vessels and work sites.
