Responsibilities
- Operates, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs building HVACR equipment.
- Installs HVACR units, ductwork, and DDC devices.
- Troubleshoots and repairs HVACR units, including electronic, electrical, and mechanical components.
- Maintains and repairs electrical, oil/gas, refrigeration, and other equipment.
- Conserves, installs, recycles, and reclaims refrigerants.
- Performs various carpentry, masonry, painting, and plastering work.
- Coordinates repairs with other trades.
- Assists with furniture and event setups and breakdowns.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, with formal training and acceptable life experiences in HVACR work.
- Current EPA Universal/R410A license.
- Minimum of five years of service in the trade at Villanova University.
- Personal hand tools required for the trade.
- Ability to research and resolve HVACR equipment issues.
- Ability to recover, recycle, and reclaim refrigerants.
- Ability to lubricate, repair, replace, and align mechanical components.
- Ability to diagnose and repair various heating and cooling systems.
- Valid driver’s license.
- No disciplinary actions within the past year.
- Current ANSI/OSHA compliant training card for aerial lifts, bucket trucks, forklifts, and scaffolding.
Qualifications
- Current OSHA 10 certification or higher.
- Ability to operate aerial/scissor lifts, bucket trucks, and forklifts.
Skills
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Ability to comprehend control system components and follow verbal/written directions.
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as climbing ladders, bending, reaching, crawling, lifting up to 60 lbs., and working in enclosed spaces.
- Excellent safety record.

Pay
$37.31 per hour
Schedule
Full-time/12-months, core hours are M-F 7:30am until 4:00pm. Starting earlier or staying later may be expected for emergency repairs.
